Supporting the Morgan Hill Seniors
Morgan Hill is currently one of several cities in Santa Clara County that has the distinction of being an "Age-friendly City" designated by the World Health Organization (WHO). In an Age-Friendly City, policies, services, settings and structures enable and support people as they grow older to live healthy and vibrant lives.

The Older Adult Services Department including the Centennial Recreation Senior Center provides comprehensive fitness classes, educational classes, social services and enrichment programs to adults 50 years of age and older in the Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy communities. It is the "Hub" for Older Adult services and programs in South County.
The Senior Center is operated by the City of Morgan Hill. Funding for programs is provided by the Friends of the Morgan Hill Senior Center, City of Morgan Hill, the County of Santa Clara, and the YMCA Community Support Campaign.

Tuesday Night Bingo at the CCC (run by Friends of the Morgan Hill Senior Center) was established to support programs and staff at the Senior Center. Each year The Senior Center (which includes the YMCA’s nutrition program) submits grant requests for funds needed to support the wonderful work being done at the Center. To date approximately $450,000 over the past 10 years has been donated.
